Greek Breakfast

At katrin Hotel the Greek breakfast features fresh local ingredients and traditional dishes. Starting with bakery products, guests may choose among various breads, thyme honey, and traditional pies such as pies with greens, “kalitsounia”, “anevata”, pies with “myzithra” cheese, Cretan “dakos” rusks, paired with local olives, cold cuts and herbal beverages (sage, “diktamo”, chamomile and linden). There are also various Greek cheeses such as “anthotyro”, “kefalotyri”, gruyere and “myzithra”, homemade sweets, top quality Greek yoghurt, fresh fruits, eggs, homemade jams and dried fruits.
Hot dishes alternate daily and feature “loukoumades” (honey dumplings) and “tiganites” (fritters), “sfouggato”” (Cretan omelet with zucchini and tomato) as well as the homemade “bougatsa” pie.
